Algipad CPlus

Algipad CPlus

Algipad CPlus is an advanced dressing and a complement to the Alginate Pad, designed for managing non‑infectious wounds and wounds that have entered the granulation and healing phase. This Revaheal dressing accelerates tissue reconstruction by creating a moist environment and controlling exudate.

It consists of three layers with distinct functions:

Layer Function
Outer semi‑porous layer Provides adequate gas exchange and protects the wound bed
Absorbent layer Manages and controls wound exudate
Collagen‑containing layer Delivers continuous, gradual release of active collagen into the wound bed

Suitable for:

  • Acute and chronic wounds with high exudate
  • Pressure (bed‑sores)
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Vascular wounds (venous/arterial)
  • Surgical wounds
  • Burns

Mechanism of Action

  • Maintains structural integrity even when saturated
  • Non‑adhesive to the wound bed, preventing damage to granulation tissue during dressing changes
  • Stimulates re‑epithelialization and accelerates granulation tissue formation
  • Reduces infection risk and controls exudate

Advantages

  • Structural integrity is preserved even in saturated conditions
  • Non‑adhesive to the wound bed, protecting granulation tissue during dressing changes
  • Promotes re‑epithelialization and speeds granulation tissue formation
  • Lowers infection risk and controls exudate

Treatment Recommendations

  • For increased flexibility, wet the dressing surface with normal saline
  • In highly exudative wounds, earlier dressing changes (every 2–3 days) are advised
  • If needed, a secondary dressing such as Ravahil Pad can be used

How to Use

  1. Clean the wound bed of any contamination; for rinsing, Ravahil Sept spray can be used.
  2. Cut the CP Plus dressing to match the wound dimensions and apply it fully onto the wound bed.
  3. If exudate is low, wet the wound bed with normal saline.
  4. Apply Ravahil Pad over the wound.

Warning

  • Not recommended for patients with severe allergies.
  • For wounds with high infectious load, it is better to use AlgiPad first; once the wound improves and reaches the epithelialization phase, switch to this dressing.
